Exercise

Let’s go

I’m not a professional writer, or for that matter, even an enthusiastic one so why would I take on the responsibility of publishing and maintaining what I expect will become the foremost wellness blog online? I’m doing this because I care about you and I hope that I have the opportunity to develop an ongoing relationship with whoever chooses to read. I’ve always fancied myself a good citizen and to that end, I harbor a genuine desire to make a difference in this world. Through my experience, studies and discoveries, I want to change your life.Along the way, I already know that some of the obstacles we’ll encounter won’t always be directly related to eating and exercise though I expect they’ll play the starring roles. However, I haven’t met anyone yet that didn’t already know that to live better and lose weight if that’s an issue we should eat less and exercise more. There’s no rocket science here although there are certainly nuances and new insights that come to fore periodically and I will bring these to you.The other stuff is more subtle and therefore harder to pin down and conquer. There’s the emotional baggage we carry and as we age our coffers start to overflow. There are misplaced values, or in fairness, misinterpreted values as well as status systems that we inherited. Of course, social or peer pressure along with fear of change only exacerbate the problem.I’ve also found that most of us lack a real understanding of who we are. On different levels, from our biological functioning to our special talents, dreams and desire, we don’t take the time to learn who we are as individuals. Instead, we take the word of someone else, someone who is not us — a family member, a friend, a competitor in sheep’s clothing, even an advertiser.Delving into these issues and foraging around for answers is my passion. I “geek out” on learning what’s new in the health & wellness field, and I have access to much more information than my clients. I’m compelled then to pick out what’s relevant, share this with as many others as I can, and more importantly figure out how to integrate this into everyday lives. As I frequently remind my clients, perfection is not the goal. If it were, then we’d never try.I’m genuinely excited about taking this on, and I encourage you to interact me freely as we go along together. I’m old enough by now to know that I don’t hold all the cards so I invite you to contribute your knowledge, your experience and your insights for the betterment of the rest of us.
